The Homecoming Profile™
In short. Your answers are stored without your name, email or IP address. Your result is worked out in your own browser. We keep your email only if you ask us to. No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, and nothing is ever sold.
This policy is issued by Dr Bee Lim and covers The Homecoming Profile at homecoming.drbeelim.com. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Privacy contact: drbeelim@gmail.com, subject line "Privacy".
The Profile is an educational self-reflection tool. It is not a clinical assessment, not a diagnosis, and it does not create a health record or a practitioner-client relationship.
It is separate from any clinical practice. Nothing you enter here is added to a clinical record or shared with any clinical service, and completing it does not make you anyone's client.
This record carries no name, no email address and no IP address. The timestamp is deliberately imprecise so the record cannot readily be matched back to you.
This record links your email address to a result about you. We treat it as sensitive information and hold it separately from the assessment records above.
Your IP address is used briefly to limit requests from any one connection. It is not stored with your answers.
Some questions concern anxiety, anger, obligation and how you relate to feeling. We treat your answers as sensitive information and collect them only with your consent, which you give by choosing to complete the Profile. You may stop at any point before submitting, and nothing is kept.
The Profile is hosted and its records stored outside Australia, by service providers engaged for that purpose. We remain accountable for how they handle your information and take reasonable steps to ensure they do so in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Australian law may not apply to information once it is held overseas.
We do not sell, rent, trade or disclose your personal information for anyone else's marketing.
Assessment records are kept for research and development of the questionnaire; they carry no identifying information. Email records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Write to drbeelim@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
One honest limitation. Because assessment records carry no name or email address, we usually cannot locate your particular assessment in order to delete it. That is the same design choice that protects you: the record cannot be traced back to you, by us or by anyone else. We can always delete your email record.
Information is encrypted in transit and access to the stores is restricted and credentialled. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
The Profile is written for adults. Please do not use it if you are under 16.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, write to drbeelim@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Information is handled under this policy and Australian law. Local privacy laws may also apply where you are. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, please do not submit your email address, as we are not set up to meet UK GDPR or GDPR obligations.
Changes are posted here with a new version number and date. Material changes affecting information already collected will be notified to subscribers by email.
